La professora de l\u2019Accademia di Belle Arti Reggio Calabria (It\u00e0lia)\u00a0Giuseppina de Marco va impartir la confer\u00e8ncia<\/p>\n

\u00abEls bronzes de Riace i el significat de l\u2019escultura grega antiga\u00bb el passat 30 de Maig de 2024, adre\u00e7ada als alumnes i professorat de les especialitats d\u2019escultura, cer\u00e0mica i batxillerat. A continuaci\u00f3 ens explica la tem\u00e0tica de la seva confer\u00e8ncia:<\/p>\n

\u00abVaig explicar als alumnes com a les escultures de l'Antiga Gr\u00e8cia la forma humana arriba a un cim de detall, artesania i autenticitat que ha dominat el m\u00f3n occidental durant generacions i que segueix servint d'est\u00e0ndard de com es produeix, experimenta i jutjat l\u2019art.<\/p>\n

El cim de l'escultura cl\u00e0ssica (segle V aC) es pot veure millor a \"Riace Bronze A\" i \"Riace Bronze B\", els dos guerrers de bronze de mida completa descoberts el 1972 a la costa del sud d'It\u00e0lia, prop de Reggio. Tot i que es desconeix la data precisa i l'origen de les escultures, el seu \u00fas de contrapposto i detalls realistes del cos i la cara s\u00f3n immediatament reconeixibles. S'inspiren en la teoria de la proporcionalitat presentada en el tractat perdut, \u00abCanon\u00bb, escrit per Policleto, que idealitzava la bellesa amb precisi\u00f3 matem\u00e0tica.<\/p>\n

L'excel\u00b7l\u00e8ncia, per\u00f2, no es va definir biol\u00f2gicament o metaf\u00edsicament, sin\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s d'un equilibri normatiu entre el cos i la ment. De fet, aquesta sincronicitat entre la fisicalitat exterior i la psicologia moral interna va ser batejada com a \"kalokagathia\": literalment el bell i el virtu\u00f3s. Hem analitzat diferents aspectes dels dos Bronzes de Riace: descoberta, iconografies, t\u00e8cnica, restauracions, interpretacions d'artistes contemporanis.\u00bb<\/p>\n

The professor of the Accademia di Belle Arti Reggio Calabria (Italy) Giuseppina de Marco gave the lecture \"The bronzes of Riace and the meaning of ancient Greek sculpture\" on 30th May 2024, aimed at students and teachers of the specialties of sculpture, ceramics and baccalaurate. In the following lines she explains the theme of her conference:<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00abI explained students\u00a0 how in the Ancient Greek sculptures the human form reach a pinnacle of detail, craftsmanship and authenticity that has dominated the Western world for generations and that continues to serve as a standard for how art is produced, experienced and judged. <\/em><\/p>\n

The pinnacle of classical sculpture (V century b. C) can best be seen in \u2018Riace Bronze A\u2019 and \u2018Riace Bronze B\u2019, the two full-size bronze warriors discovered in 1972 off the coast of Southern Italy near Reggio. While the precise date and origin of the sculptures is unknown, their use of contrapposto and lifelike details of the body and the face are immediately recognisable. They are inspired by the theory of proportionality presented in the lost treatise, Canon, written by Policleto, that idealised beauty with mathematical precision.<\/em><\/p>\n

Excellence, however, was not defined biologically or metaphysically, but through a normative balance between the body and mind. In fact, this synchronicity between outward physicality and internal moral psychology was dubbed \u2018kalokagathia\u2019: literally the beautiful and virtuous. We have analyzed different aspects of the two Riace Bronzes: discovery, iconographies, tecnique, restorations, interpretations of contemporary artists.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n
