From Abroad 25-26 Talks and lectures in English about Art and Design<\/em><\/p>\n

Despr\u00e9s de tornar de les seves mobilitats ERASMUS +, els i les professors\/es Maria Ant\u00f2nia Mateu, Anna Ballest\u00e9, Alba Garcia, Manel Clemente, Carme Pu\u00e9rtolas, Carles Torn\u00e9 i Alejo Salgado van fer una exposici\u00f3 oral de la seva experi\u00e8ncia a les diferents institucions que havien visitat.<\/p>\n

Del 16 al 20 de Mar\u00e7 del 2026 la professora Maria Ant\u00f2nia Mateu va visitar Universidade de Belas Artes de Porto en el marc del programa ERASMUS +. La seva mobilitat de doc\u00e8ncia es va ampliar amb una estada d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 de dues setmanes m\u00e9s en el marc de la seva tesis doctoral en curs. Aquesta, titulada \u201cLa relaci\u00f3 pedag\u00f2gica en el proc\u00e9s creatiu d\u2019\u00e0lbums il\u00b7lustrats atravessats pel feminisme interseccional\u201d \u00e9s tutoritzada pel Dr Fernando Hern\u00e1ndez Hern\u00e1ndez i dirigida pel Dr Fernando Herraiz amb l\u2019acompanyament de diverses cotutoritzacions al llarg de les experi\u00e8ncies internacionals. Durant la seva estada Maria Ant\u00f2nia Mateu va impartir una confer\u00e8ncia sobre la seva tesi que segons la professora \u201ces va basar en explicar l\u2019experi\u00e8ncia de la investigaci\u00f3 de la tesis doctoral vinculada a un exemple pr\u00e0ctic en la segona part d\u2019aquesta. A la pr\u00e0ctica el que vaig proposar va ser pensar en format de grups cooperatius un conte popular de la inf\u00e0ncia, i amb una s\u00e8rie de categories analitzar el contingut dels personatges, espais, interrelacions, l\u2019aprenentatge de la hist\u00f2ria, per tal de veure si es podia modificar i fer un gir feminista en la hist\u00f2ria i generar una narrativa alternativa o cr\u00edtica al discurs hegem\u00f2nic patriarcal, capacitista, classista, blanc i occidental que molts dels contes populars es veuen travessats i esbiaixats per aquesta estructura de pensament.\u201d<\/p>\n

Del 11 al 15 d\u2019Abril del 2026 les professores Anna Ballest\u00e9 i Alba Garcia varen visitat l\u2019Art Academy of Latvia a Riga (Let\u00f2nia) en el marc del programa ERASMUS +. Les seves mobilitats van combinar la pr\u00e0ctica docent amb una immersi\u00f3 profunda en el patrimoni art\u00edstic i les expressions contempor\u00e0nies de la regi\u00f3 b\u00e0ltica. El nucli central de la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 va ser la pon\u00e8ncia titulada \"Ceramistes i Escultores Contempor\u00e0nies Catalanes\". L'acte va comptar amb una presentaci\u00f3 institucional a c\u00e0rrec de la Professora convidada (Guest professor) M\u0101ra Lorberga, i va ser moderat per la Professora associada (Associate professor) Jevge\u0146ija Loginova. Davant d'un p\u00fablic format per artistes i acad\u00e8mics letons, Ballest\u00e9 i Garc\u00eda van oferir una an\u00e0lisi profunda de l'evoluci\u00f3 de la mat\u00e8ria en mans de dones creadores del nostre entorn. La confer\u00e8ncia va destacar la vig\u00e8ncia de les t\u00e8cniques tradicionals i la seva transformaci\u00f3 en l'art actual, explorant tem\u00e0tiques que van des de la revisi\u00f3 del passat fins a narratives sobre futurs dist\u00f2pics i la normalitzaci\u00f3 de nous llenguatges visuals en l'escultura i la cer\u00e0mica contempor\u00e0nia. Durant la seva estada les professores varen tamb\u00e9 tenir l\u2019oportunitat de visitar institucions com el Museu d'Arts Decoratives, el Zuzeum Museum i el Museu de la Porcellana de Riga i el Artists' Union of Latvia.<\/p>\n

Del 20 al 24 d\u2019Abril del 2026 els professors i coordinadors ERASMUS Manel Clemente i Carles Torn\u00e9 i la professora Carme Pu\u00e9rtolas varen visitar la George Enescu National University of Arts in Ia\u0219i (Rumania), en el marc del programa ERASMUS +. L\u2019objectiu de les seves mobilitats de doc\u00e8ncia era consolidar l\u2019acord institucional amb aquest nou partner, presentar les nostres institucions EA Pau Gargallo i ESDAPC campus Pau Gargallo i impartir dues confer\u00e8ncies. Durant la seva estada varen ser acollits pels professors Phd Oana Maria Nae i Daniel Sofron, pel Vicerector de Relacions Internacionals Prof. PhD Cristian Nicolae Ungureanu i per la Coordinadora de Relacions Internacionals Felicia Balan. El dia 21 d\u2019Abril els professors Manel Clemente i Carme Puertolas varen impartir la confer\u00e8ncia \u201cThree paths to creative photography: a selection of Spanish contemporary photographers\u201d. El dia 22 d\u2019Abril els professors Manel Clemente i Carles Torn\u00e9 varen impartir la confer\u00e8ncia \u201cControversial monuments in contemporary Europe: Removal, conservation and creation of new memorials. The case of Catalunya\u201d.<\/p>\n

Alejo Salgado va visitar el Pantheon Institute of Design and Technology de Roma en el marc del programa Erasmus, del 22 al 26 de juny de 2026. Durant la seva mobilitat formativa, va ser acollit pel coordinador internacional Manuel Diaz i pels professors Asia Constantini, Noem\u00ed, Alessio Verolini i Stefano Arduini. Segons el seu lloc web, \u201cel Pantheon Design & Technology Institute es va fundar el 1969 i avui dia \u00e9s un centre d'excel\u00b7l\u00e8ncia entre les institucions AFAM en els \u00e0mbits del disseny, el disseny gr\u00e0fic, les aplicacions digitals per a les arts visuals, el disseny multim\u00e8dia, la comunicaci\u00f3 i la posada en valor de l'art contemporani, aix\u00ed com la direcci\u00f3 art\u00edstica. El centre est\u00e0 autoritzat pel MUR (Ministeri d'Educaci\u00f3, Universitats i Recerca) per expedir t\u00edtols acad\u00e8mics d'educaci\u00f3 superior en els camps de l'art, la m\u00fasica i la dansa. L'oferta educativa consta de sis t\u00edtols acad\u00e8mics (nivells I i II) i es complementa amb m\u00e0sters i pr\u00e0ctiques en empreses, gr\u00e0cies a una \u00e0mplia xarxa de col\u00b7laboracions\u201d.<\/p>\n

After coming back from their ERASMUS mobilities, the teachers Anna Ballest\u00e9, Alba Garcia, Carles Torn\u00e9, Manel Clemente, Carme Pu\u00e9rtolas, Maria Ant\u00f2nia Mateu and Alejo Salgado gave an oral presentation of their experience at the different institutions they had visited.<\/i><\/p>\n

From March 16 to 20, 2026, Professor Maria Ant\u00f2nia Mateu visited the Universidade de Belas Artes de Porto under the Erasmus+ program. Her teaching mobility was extended by a further two-week research stay as part of her ongoing doctoral thesis. This thesis, titled \"The Pedagogical Relationship in the Creative Process of Picture Books Informed by Intersectional Feminism,\" is supervised by Dr. Fernando Hern\u00e1ndez Hern\u00e1ndez and directed by Dr. Fernando Herraiz, with additional co-supervision provided during her international experiences. During her stay, Maria Ant\u00f2nia Mateu gave a lecture on her thesis which, according to the professor,\"focused on explaining the doctoral research experience by linking it to a practical example from the second part of the study. In practice, I proposed that participants work in cooperative groups to consider a childhood folktale and\u2014using a set of categories\u2014analyze elements such as characters, settings, interrelationships, and the story's lessons. The goal was to see if the story could be modified to take a feminist turn, thereby generating a narrative that offers an alternative or critique to the hegemonic discourse\u2014patriarchal, ableist, classist, white, and Western\u2014that permeates and biases so many folktales.\"<\/i><\/p>\n

From April 11 to 15, 2026, professors Anna Ballest\u00e9 and Alba Garcia visited the Art Academy of Latvia in Riga (Latvia) as part of the Erasmus+ program. Their visit combined teaching activities with an in-depth immersion in the artistic heritage and contemporary expressions of the Baltic region. The centerpiece of the collaboration was a lecture titled \"Contemporary Catalan Ceramicists and Sculptors.\" The event featured an institutional introduction by Guest Professor M\u0101ra Lorberga and was moderated by Associate Professor Jevge\u0146ija Loginova. Before of an audience of Latvian artists and academics, Ballest\u00e9 and Garcia offered a profound analysis of how female creators from their region have evolved in their use of materials. The lecture highlighted the enduring relevance of traditional techniques and their transformation in <\/i>contemporary art, exploring themes ranging from re-examining the past to narratives about dystopian futures and the normalization of new visual languages \u200b\u200bin contemporary sculpture and ceramics. During their stay, the professors also had the opportunity to visit institutions such as the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, the Zuzeum Museum, the Riga Porcelain Museum, and the Artists' Union of Latvia.<\/i><\/p>\n

From April 20 to 24, 2026, ERASMUS coordinators and professors Manel Clemente and Carles Torn\u00e9 and professor Carme Pu\u00e9rtolas visited the George Enescu National University of Arts in Ia\u0219i (Romania), within the framework of the ERASMUS + program. The objective of their teaching mobilities was to consolidate the institutional agreement with this new partner, present our institutions EA Pau Gargallo and ESDAPC campus Pau Gargallo and give two lectures. During their stay, they were hosted by Phd professors Oana Maria Nae and Daniel Sofron, by the Vice-Rector for International Relations Prof. PhD Cristian Nicolae Ungureanu and by the Coordinator for International Relations Felicia Balan. On April 21, professors Manel Clemente and Carme Puertolas gave the lecture \u201cThree paths to creative photography: a selection of Spanish contemporary photographers\u201d. On April 22, professors Manel Clemente and Carles Torn\u00e9 gave the lecture \u201cControversial monuments in contemporary Europe: Removal, conservation and creation of new memorials. The case of Catalonia\u201d.<\/i><\/p>\n

Alejo Salgado visited the\u00a0Pantheon Institute of Design and Technology in Rome in the frame of the ERASMUS program from 22 to 26 June 2026. During\u00a0 his training mobility he was hosted by the International coordinator Manuel\u00a0Diaz and by the professors\u00a0Asia Constantini, Noem\u00ed, Alessio Verolini, and Stefano Arduini.\u00a0According to its website \"the Pantheon Design & Technology Institute was founded in 1969 and is today an excellence amongst\u00a0\u00a0AFAM Institutions in the fields of Design, Graphic Design, Digital Applications for the Visual Arts, Multimedia Design, Communication and Enhancement of Contemporary Art and Art Direction. It has been authorized to issue Higher Education Academic Diplomas in the fields of Art, Music and Dance by the MUR (Ministry of Education, University and Research). The educational offer consists of six Academic Diplomas (Level I and II) and is completed with masters and internships to be carried out in a company thanks to a dense network of collaborations.\"\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n
