From Abroad: talks and lectures in English about Art and Design 2019-20

After coming back from their ERASMUS mobilities at the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallin (Estonia) from 18 to 20th February 2020 our teachers Georgina Alcàcer and Zaira Anselmo will make an oral presentation of their experience.
During their visit they were hosted by the professor Tanel Kärp, Head of Interaction Design Department at EKA.
Georgina Alcàcer and Zaira Anselmo made an oral presentation of our institutions EASD Pau Gargallo and ESDAP Catalunya and showed some final projects from our students, specially the ones from the Interactive Graphics department.
They also delivered the workshop Creating AR/VR technology with MergeCube:
“Our proposal is to deliver a workshop where we will see the beginnings of this system and its development, reviewing some of the most commonly used av/rv technologies. And also to study how it can be linked to artistic processes. The activity of the workshop is to develop new interfaces with an application called CoSpaces. To achieve this goal, the students will initially create several sketches, and will create relevant images or illustrations taking into account its purpose, which they will prepare later to be able to insert in CoSpace application. They will do several tests until they obtain a final product. At the end of the workshop, students will have a new interface that we will see using MergeCube.”
An other purpose of their visit to EKA was to prepare new collaboration projects between The Estonian Academy of Arts and the institutions Escola d’Art i Superior de Superior de Disseny Pau Gargallo de Badalona (Barcelona) and ESDAP Catalunya

Després de tornar de les seves mobilitats ERASMUS + a l’“Estonian Academy of Arts” a Tallin (Estònia) del 18 al 20 de febrer de 2020, les professores Georgina Alcàcer i Zaira Anselmo faran una presentació oral de la seva experiència.
Durant la seva visita van ser acollides pel professor Tanel Kärp, cap del departament de disseny interactiu de la EKA.
Georgina Alcàcer i Zaira Anselmo van fer una presentació oral de les nostres instiucions EASD Pau Gargallo i ESDAP Catalunya i van mostrar alguns projectes finals dels nostres estudiants, especialment els del departament de Gràfica Interactiva.
També van impartir el workshop Creació de tecnologia AR / VR amb MergeCube:
"La nostra proposta és impartir un taller on veurem els inicis d'aquest sistema i el seu desenvolupament, revisant algunes de les tecnologies d'av / rv més utilitzades. I també per estudiar com es pot vincular amb processos artístics. L’activitat del taller és desenvolupar noves interfícies amb una aplicació anomenada CoSpaces. Per assolir aquest objectiu, els estudiants crearan inicialment diversos esbossos i crearan imatges o il·lustracions rellevants tenint en compte la seva finalitat, que prepararan més endavant per poder inserir en l’aplicació CoSpace. Faran diverses proves fins a obtenir un producte final. Al final del taller, els estudiants tindran una nova interfície que veurem mitjançant MergeCube. ”
Un altre dels objectius de la seva visita a EKA va ser el de preparar nous projectes de col·laboració entre l'Acadèmia Estoniana de les Arts i l’EASD Pau Gargallo de Badalona i ESDAP Catalunya.
