Visita a la Estonian Academy of Arts
Els professors Ampar Cànoves, Abel del Castillo, Manel Clemente, Carles Torné i Carme Puértolas van visitar del 11 al 13 de Maig del 2022 la Estonian Academy of Arts / EKA a Tallinn, Estònia en el marc del programa ERASMUS. La seva visita tenia com a propòsit realitzar una presentació de les nostres institucions EA Pau Gargallo i ESDAPC campus Pau Gargallo i impartir una xerrada sobre fotografia contemporània a l’estat espanyol. De forma paral·lela un altre objectiu d’aquestes mobilitats de docència i formació era conèixer la Estonian Academy of Arts –ja visitada per alguns professors del grup anteriorment- per tal de compartir possibles projectes internacionals.
Fundada el 1914, la Estonian Academy of Arts és l'única universitat pública d'Estònia que ofereix educació superior en belles arts, disseny, arquitectura, mitjans de comunicació, estudis visuals, cultura artística i conservació. L'EKA s'esforça per convertir-se en un centre internacional líder d'innovació en l'àmbit de la cultura visual. Actualment hi ha uns 1300 estudiants matriculats a l'Acadèmia.
Durant la seva estada els professors van ser rebuts i acompanyats per la professora del departament de Ceràmica i Vidre i coordinadora de relacions internacionals Kersti Laanmaa i també van contactar amb les professores del mateix departament Eve Koha, Ene Raud-Mägi, Ingrid Allik, Laura Pöld i Karin Kalma. Tot aquest grup de professores havia visitat la nostra escola amb un grup d’alumnes de Màster setmanes abans en el marc del programa Erasmus.
El dia 11 de Maig, després de la presentació pública de les nostres institucions els professors Carles Torné i Manel Clemente varen impartir la conferència “Spanish contemporary Photography, a selection: Chema Madoz, Jordi Bernadó, Joan Fontcuberta”.
A continuació tot el grup va participar en una visita guiada a tots els departaments de l’EKA i molt especialment als tallers i espais de Ceràmica i Vidre, Escultura, Pintura, Fotografia i Animació. Durant la seva estada de tres dies els professors de la nostra escola van poder visitar en companyia de les professores de l’EKA les principals galeries d’art i museus de la capital estona.
Aquesta mobilitat ERASMUS dels nostres professors ha permès enfortir les relacions entre les nostres institucions EA Pau Gargallo i ESDAP campus Pau Gargallo i la Estonian Academy of Arts / EKA.

Visit to the Estonian Academy of Arts
Professors Ampar Cànoves, Abel del Castillo, Manel Clemente, Carles Torné and Carme Puértolas visited the Estonian Academy of Arts / EKA in Tallinn, Estonia from 11 to 13 May 2022 as part of the ERASMUS program. The purpose of their visit was to make a presentation of our institutions EA Pau Gargallo and ESDAPC campus Pau Gargallo and give a talk on contemporary photography in Spain. At the same time, another goal of these teaching and training mobilities was to get to know the Estonian Academy of Arts - already visited by some professors in the group before - in order to share possible international projects.
Established in 1914, the Estonian Academy of Arts is the only public university in Estonia providing higher education in fine arts, design, architecture, media, visual studies, art culture, and conservation. The EAA is striving to become a leading international centre of innovation in the field of visual culture. Currently there are about 1300 students enrolled in the Academy.
During their stay the teachers were received and accompanied by the professor of the department of Ceramics and Glass and coordinator of international relations Kersti Laanmaa and also contacted the professors of the same department Eve Koha, Ene Raud-Mägi, Ingrid Allik, Laura Pöld and Karin Kalma. This whole group of teachers had visited our school with a group of Master's students weeks before as part of the Erasmus program.
On May 11, after the public presentation of our institutions, professors Carles Torné and Manel Clemente gave the lecture “Spanish contemporary Photography, a selection: Chema Madoz, Jordi Bernadó, Joan Fontcuberta”.
The whole group then took part in a guided tour of all the EKA departments and especially the workshops and spaces for Ceramics and Glass, Sculpture, Painting, Photography and Animation. During their three-day stay, the teachers of our school were able to visit, in the company of EKA teachers, the main art galleries and museums in the capital.
This ERASMUS mobility of our teachers has strengthened the relationships between our institutions EA Pau Gargallo and ESDAP campus Pau Gargallo and the Estonian Academy of Arts / EKA.

Sofija Stojanović: studying at the University of Arts in Belgrade
Sofija Stojanović és una alumna ERASMUS “incoming” de la Facultat d'Arts Aplicades de la Universtity of Arts in Belgrad que està estudiant Il·lustració i Animació Audiovisual durant aquest segon semestre a la nostra institució en el marc del programa ERASMUS. La seva mobilitat d'aprenentatge ERASMUS està vinculada al seu grau en Animació a la seva institució. Durant aquest semestre Sofija Stojanović està realitzant el seu projecte final que consisteix en un curtmetratge d'animació amb la supervisió del nostre professor Dani Seguí. El dilluns 5 de maig va fer una presentació sobre la seva universitat i sobre el seu portfoi com a animadora.
Segons el seu lloc web, "La University of Arts in Belgrade es va fundar l'any 1957 com una associació de quatre facultats d'art: la Facultat de Música, la Facultat de Belles Arts, la Facultat d'Arts Aplicades i la Facultat d'Arts Dramàtiques. La Facultat d'Arts Aplicades es va fundar fa més de sis dècades. A principis del segle XX, molt enrere el 1905, es va fundar l'Escola d'Arts i Oficis a Belgrad. Emulant el programa i les idees de la Bauhaus, el 1938 es va convertir en l'Escola d'Arts Aplicades. La primera institució d'educació superior en l'àmbit de les arts aplicades, l'Acadèmia d'Arts Aplicades, va començar el seu primer curs acadèmic l'any 1948. El 1973, l'Acadèmia va passar a anomenar-se Facultat d'Arts Aplicades. La Facultat ofereix un ampli espectre de disciplines que es classifiquen com a arts aplicades i disseny, complementades amb la reflexió conceptual i la recerca teòrica. Sofija Stojanović: Studying at the University of Arts in Belgrade

Sofija Stojanović is an incoming ERASMUS student from the Faculty of Applied Arts of the University of Arts in Belgrade who is studying Illustration and Audiovisual Animation during this second semester at our institution in the frame of the ERASMUS program. Her ERASMUS learning mobility is linked to her Bachelor’s degree on Animation at her outgoing institution. During this semester Sofija Stojanović is making her final project which consists on an animation short movie with the supervizing of our teacher Dani Seguí. On Monday 5th May she made a presentation about her university and about her portfolio as animator.
According to its website “The University of Arts in Belgrade was founded in 1957 as an association of four art faculties: the Faculty of Music, the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Applied Arts and the Faculty of Dramatic Arts. The Faculty of Applied Arts was founded more than six decades ago. At the beginning of the XX century, far back in 1905, the Arts and Crafts School was founded in Belgrade. Vladimir Tatarević: Photography Projects
El passat dilluns 2 de maig de 2022, l'artista i professor de la University of Arts in Belgrade Vladimir Tatarević va fer una presentació d'aquesta institució i el seu departament de fotografia. També va fer una presentació d'una selecció dels seus projectes professionals i artístics.
Els estudiants i professors del Departament de Gràfica impresa de la nostra escola van tenir l'oportunitat de conèixer el Departament de Fotografia de la Facultat d'Arts Aplicades de Belgrad i compartir amb Vladimir Tatarević la seva tasca professional i els seus projectes creatius "Spartans" i “Vestal Virgines” . També va fer una presentació del projecte “Mona Lisa” en col·laboració amb l'artista Vrcelj, que ja ha estat exposat a Belgrad i París.

Last Monday 2nd May 2022 the artist and professor from the Universtiy of Arts in Belgrade Vladimir Tatarević offered a presentation of this institution and its Photography department. He also made a presentation of a selection of his professional and artistic projects.
Students and teachers from the Printed Graphic department from the EASD Pau Gargallo had the opportunity to know the Department of Photography of the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade and to share with Vladimir Tatarević his professional work and his creative photography projects “Spartans” and “Vestal Virgines”. He also made a presentation of the project “Mona Lisa” in collaboration with the artist Vrcelj, which has already been exhibited in Belgrad and Paris.

A short presentation of some Vladimir Tatarević’s projects
“Spartans”
The artist is inspired by Spartan warriors who, knowingly going to their deaths, the small and tragic and the opposing intimidation of Persian power, are a unique example of courage and madness. The author, with a modern approach, puts a powerful ancient fighter in the present day. Strong bodies in motion and convulsions remind us of what is primordial nature, the strength of the spirit and body of the male sex, perpetually provoked thirst for struggle, for power.
Photographs in addition to the bodily aspect carry the message that in any time, with any weapon, enemy, man will still fight the most important battle, battle within himself.
"Spartans" are the first part of Vladimir Tatarevic's photography cycle to which this author expresses the beauty of the human body and the strength of the spirit.
“Vestal Virgines”
Vladimir Tatarević in his photographs depicts the European women of the 21st century, a new sensuality, an energetic gesture, a suggestive gaze that radiates self-awareness of their own beauty as well as their physical and psychological superiority.
A more careful reading of these photographs requires, above all, deciphering and searching for the author's intentions, as well as the entire cultural context that remains in the background of the work. The attractiveness and virtual beauty of the female body in the tension of the movement, which is released by fairy draperies with a flash of light, tell us that these modern Amazons are freeing themselves from all previous prejudices about women...

City, construint una ciutat imaginària
A la matèria de volum, amb els alumnes de 1r de Batxillerat hem fet una activitat en grup construint una ciutat imaginària a escala. Aquest treball ha generat molt bona dinàmica de grup, ens hem coordinat, ens hem conegut, hem generat empatia i el més important ens ho hem passat molt bé i els resultats han estat bons i diversos. Cada grup ha treballat de forma autònoma i responsable. Aquí en teniu una bona mostra. 17 ciutats i 70 participants. Quina experiència!!!
Reconeixements VII Jornada d’Arts Plàstiques i Disseny
Com cada any, l’Escola Pau Gargallo ha participat a la VII JORNADA D’ARTS PLÀSTIQUES I DISSENY de l’Escola a l’Empresa amb la presentació de diferents projectes des dels Cicles de Grau Superior de Ceràmica, Escultura, Gràfica Interactiva, Gràfica Impresa i Il·lustració.
Enguany la Gala virtual, organitzada pel Departament d’Educació de la Generalitat de Catalunya, dins del projecte Talent creatiu i empresa, ha estat el 6 de maig i en ella s’han entregat diferents reconeixements per als projectes presentats.
Els alumnes de la nostra escola han estat guardonats amb els següents premis i mencions:
>> Del CFGS de Gràfica Impresa, l’alumna Laia Martín ha rebut el reconeixement d’Ainea Perfums pel seu packaging per al Concurs Internacional de Perfumeria i Alina Merino, Andrea Giménes i Carla Iglesias han rebut una menció.
>> Del CFGS de Gràfica Impresa, l’alumna Nerea Martínez ha rebut el reconeixement compartit pel seu treball de merchandising per a SOS Costa Brava i les mencions han estat per a les alumnes Marta Moral i Pol Bertschi.
>> Del CFGS de Gràfica Interactiva els alumnes Santiago Pizarro, Carla García, Rosa Nadal, Daniel Ruiz / Judith Martínez, Maite Mesa, Àngels Vera i Ayla Cano han rebut el reconeixement compartit pel seu espot per a l’Institut Català de Seguretat i Salut Laboral.
>> Del CFGS de Gràfica Interactiva l’alumna Ayla Cano ha obtingut el reconeixement compartit per la seva eina multimèdia, en format aplicació, per a l’Institut Català de Seguretat i Salut Laboral.
>> Del CFGS d’Il·lustració les alumnes Andrea Casanueva i Giselle Esparza han obtingut el reconeixement per les il·lustracions realitzades per a la Fundació Recerca Sant Joan de Déu.
>> Dels CFGS de Tècniques Escultòriques i Modelisme i Disseny Ceràmic les alumnes Ana Puerto i Montse Molas han obtingut mencions per les màscares realitzades per l’Exposició “Alas y viento” per als Amics Unesco Barcelona.
>> Del CFGS de Gràfica Impresa, els alumnes Lidia del Cid, Martí Navarro, Elena Ortega i Dayra Ferrufino han rebut mencions per al seu cartell per al V Concurs Internacional de Perfumeria de l’empresa Ainea Perfums/Ajuntament de Teià.
La gala ha estat vista per un miler de persones i ha estat emesa pel Canal Taronja TV amb una audiència de 30.000 telespectadors. En els propers dies s’emetrà a través de la Xarxa de Televisions Digitals Independents d’arreu de Catalunya però, si no podeu esperar, aquí us deixem l’enllaç al vídeo de la jornada.

Experiència ERASMUS a la University of Zagreb
Les professores de la nostra escola Zaira Anselmo i Georgina Alcàcer van visitar la Facultat de Gràfica de la University of Zagreb (Croàcia)
durant els dies 27 a 29 d’Abril de 2022 en el marc del programa ERASMUS. A continuació ens expliquen la experiència de la seva mobilitat “training”:
Ens va rebre la Ivanna Zganjar, coordinadora Erasmus de la Facultat. Ella ens havia preparat reunions amb professorat especialitzat en gràfica i interactiva.
Després de la rebuda de la Ivanna, i de les seves explicacions sobre la institució, ens va rebre la professora Irena Bates, especialista en pre-producció i part del departament de Printing. Ella ens va fer una demostració de les diverses impremtes de les que disposen, dues offset molt antigues que són tot un tresor!
Després ens va rebre en Josip Bota, PhD del departament de disseny gràfic, especialitzat en packaging. Ens va mostrar l'ala superior de la facultat, on ens va fer una demostració de com s'aplica un programari específic per al disseny 2D/3D i com amb una maquinari especialitzat (troqueladora plotter) arriben a produir un prototip real.
A continuació ens va mostrar diverses de les instal·lacions de la facultat fins arribar a l'aula especialitzada en user experience. Allà vàrem poder fer tests d'usabilitat i veure els resultats obtinguts per el hardware Tobi (lector de retines) i el software PupilsLabs, del qual varem quedar enamorades!
A l'endemà, vàrem assistir a una classe-taller del grup de 3r dels estudis de disseny, on treballaven tècniques tradicionals. El professor especialista ens va rebre, i la seva adjunta, la Petra, va ser qui ens va ensenyar els treballs de l'alumnat, així com diverses de les tècniques de gravat que ensenyen a la facultat.
Ha estat una experiència extraordinària i ens hem sentit molt ben acollides!

Taller d’stencil
Els dies 4 i 18 de maig els alumnes de 2n curs del CFGS de Gràfica Impresa han realitzat un taller d’stencil al @BDNLAB. Els estudiants han dissenyat els seus alfabets dins l’assignatura de tipografia durant algunes setmanes i prenent com inspiració el pavelló Mies Van der Rohe. Amb l’assistència de l’Elena i el Raül de BDN Lab, s’han preparat els arxius per realitzar les plantilles. Els materials treballats han estat el metacrilat, la fusta, la goma EVA, la cartolina i el vinil adhesiu de tall. Ha estat molt interessant!
Paula B. Redondo autora del cartell de Filmets
L’alumna Paula B. Redondo del CFGS d’Il·lustració és l’autora del cartell de la 48a edició de FILMETS Badalona Film Festival.
A la presentació del cartell, la Paula va explicar que ha volgut elaborar “uns cartells que transmetin la importància de la visió, així com fer un reconeixement als espectadors que assisteixen al festival i que tenen ganes de veure els curtmetratges.” És per aquest motiu que els conceptes treballats en el cartell són els ulls, el públic i la identitat del festival.
Aquest cartell serà la imatge gràfica de l’edició de 2022 de FILMETS i es podrà veure a les banderoles i en tots els suports comunicatius del festival de curtmetratges.
Julijana Protić: Escultura modular
El passat dijous 21 d'abril de 2022, l'artista i professora de la Universtiy of Arts in Belgrade Julijana Protić va oferir una presentació d'aquesta institució i va fer una conferència sobre escultura modular. També va fer una presentació d'una selecció dels seus projectes professionals i artístics.
Alumnes i professors dels departaments d'Escultura i Ceràmica de l'EASD Pau Gargallo van tenir l'oportunitat de conèixer el Departament d'Escultura de la Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrad i de compartir amb Julijana Protić el seu interès per l'escultura modular. D'aquesta manera, van ser introduïts en els conceptes i procediments del procés de creació d'escultures modulars i en la projecció de l'obra escultòrica a través de la investigació dels fenòmens i els principis de modularitat i el procediment de collage-assemblatge dins l'espai de l'art/escultura.
A continuació Julijana Protić també va fer una presentació d'una selecció dels seus treballs d’encàrrec en els camps de l'escultura i l'Escenografia i una selecció d'alguns dels seus projectes artístics. En aquest sentit va mostrar les seves peces “Kill me softly”, “Organika”, “White like snow”, “Friendship” and “Gentle sculptures”.

Una breu presentació de JULIJANA PROTIĆ
El 1993 es va graduar en Escultura a la Facultat d'Arts Aplicades de Belgrad. El 2010 va rebre el seu màster en Estudis Interdisciplinaris de Postgrau a la Universitat d'Arts de Belgrad, al Grup d'Arts Digitals, amb la tesi "Sculpting by the sound". L'any 2015 es va doctorar als Estudis d'Art Doctoral de la Universitat de les Arts de Belgrad, al Grup d'Art Digital, amb la tesi “From A ... Morphogenesis of psychoacoustic shape animation (animation of functional models of simultaneous generation of shapes by modulating motion and sound)”.
Va completar la seva formació en el camp del psicodrama a l'Associació Regional de Psicodrama i Aplicació Integrativa de la Psicoteràpia, en cooperació amb la Societat Sèrbia de Psicodrama "Moreno" i el mòdul PDJA, Part introductòria - Enfocament integrador al psicodrama i psicologia analítica jungiana. És professora associada a la Facultat d'Arts Aplicades de Belgrad. Viu a Belgrad. Exposa de forma habitual la seva obra des de 1993 i ha realitzat quinze exposicions individuals i més de cent col·lectives, ha participat en simposis d'escultura; ha realitzat una estada d'estudi el 2012 a la Cite Internationale des Arts de París i ha rebut dos premis significatius a la creativitat visual. Ha participat en la producció d'un gran nombre d'escenografies per a producció de cinema, teatre i televisió, així com en el disseny visual de presentacions de diverses empreses i museus. És membre d'ULUS, l'Associació d'Associats Artístics de Cinema i Televisió de Sèrbia, l'Associació Sèrbia de Psicodrama SPA MORENO, l'Associació Regional de Psicodrama i Aplicació Integrativa de la Psicoteràpia RAIP i és membre de la Playback Belgrade Theatre Company.

Julijana Protić: Modular Sculpture

Last Thursday 21st April 2022 the artist and professor from the Universtiy of Arts in Belgrade Julijana Protić offered a presentation of this institution and made a lecture on Modular Sculpture. She also made a presentation of a selection of her professional and artistic projects.
Students and teachers from the Sculpture and Ceramics departments from the EASD Pau Gargallo had the opportunity to know the Department of Sculpture of the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade and to share with Julijana Protić her interest in Modular sculpture. In this way, the concepts and procedures of the process of creating modular sculptures and the projection of the sculptural work were introduced through the investigation of the phenomena and the principles of modularity and collage-assembly procedure within the space of the art / sculpture.
After that, Julijana Protić also made a presentation of a selection of her commissioned works in the fields of Sculpture and Scenography and a selection of some of her artistic projects. In this way she showed her pieces “Kill me softly”, “Organika”, “White like snow”, “Friendship” and “Gentle sculptures”.

A short presentation of JULIJANA PROTIĆ
In 1993 she graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade, in Sculpture. In 2010, she received her MA in Postgraduate Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade, at the Digital Arts Group, with the thesis “Sculpting by the sound.”
In 2015 she received her PhD at the Doctoral Art Studies of the University of Arts in Belgrade, at the Digital Art Group, with the thesis “From A ... Morphogenesis of psychoacoustic shape animation (animation of functional models of simultaneous generation of shapes by modulating motion and sound)”. She completed her education in the field of psychodrama at the Regional Association for Psychodrama and Integrative Application of Psychotherapy, in cooperation with the Serbian Psychodrama Society “Moreno” and module PDJA, Introductory part – Integrative Approach to Psychodrama and Jungian Analytical Psychology.
She is an associate professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. She lives in Belgrade. She has been actively exhibiting her artwork since 1993 and has fifteen solo and over one hundred group exhibitions, participation in ten an colonies and sculpture symposia; a 2012 study visit to the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris; two significant awards for visual creativity, several realized trophies, etc. She participated in the production of a large number of sets for film, theater and TV production, as well as in the visual design of presentations by various companies and museums.
She is a member of ULUS, the Association of Film and Television Artistic Associates of Serbia, the Serbian Psychodrama Association SPA MORENO, the Regional Association for Psychodrama and Integrative Application of Psychotherapy RAIP and a member of the Playback Belgrade Theater Company.
