Visita a l'Istituto Pantheon Design & Technology de Roma
Les professores del Departament de Gràfica Impresa de la nostra escola, Teresa Ruiz i Eliana Bartolomé , van visitar del 8 al 12 d'abril de 2024 l'Institut Phanteon Design and Technology de Roma en el marc d'una mobilitat de formació Erasmus+. A continuació es presenta una breu descripció de la seva experiència: “L'Istituto Pantheon Design & Technology de Roma es troba com a escola destacada en el camp del disseny, les arts visuals i la comunicació i amb el reconeixement d'Institució di "Alta formazione" autoritzada per a expedir títols universitaris i màsters. Ha sigut una experiència molt interessant, per poder conèixer el ventall tan ampli de graus dins de l'àmbit del disseny, la possibilitat de poder ampliar estudis amb els màsters, de l'àmbit del disseny i la comunicació gràfica. Sobretot destaquem el fet de poder visualitzar altres mètodes de treball, per exemple, com es plantegen els anàlisis dins dels projectes de final de grau, o projectes on hi ha la participació d'altres escoles i/o universitats.”
The teachers of the Department of Printed Graphics at the Escola d'Art Pau Gargallo Teresa Ruiz and Eliana Bartolomé visited the Phanteon Design and Technology Institute in Rome from 8 to 12 April 2024 as part of an Erasmus+ training mobility. Below is a write-up of their experience: “The Istituto Pantheon Design & Technology in Rome is an outstanding school in the field of design, visual arts and communication and with the recognition of Institució di "Alta formazione" authorized to issue university degrees and masters. Visiting Pantehon has been a very interesting experience, to be able to learn about the wide range of degrees within the field of design, the possibility of being able to expand studies with the masters, in the field of design and graphic communication. Above all, we emphasize the fact of being able to visualize other work methods, for example, how analyzes are considered within the end-of-degree projects, or projects where there is participation of other schools and/or universities.”

Anna Pyzik és una estudiant ERASMUS de University of the National Education Commission, Krakow (fins al 2023 anomenada Pedagogical University of Krakow) que ha estat estudiant animació durant aquest segon semestre a l'Escola d'Art Pau Gargallo. El passat dimecres 22 de Maig de 2024 va fer una presentació sobre Cracòvia (Polònia) i el departament d’Animació de la seva universitat, adreçada a estudiants i professors de la nostra escola.
La University of the National Education Commission, Krakow, és la més gran i una de les universitats pedagògiques més antigues de Polònia i és ben coneguda pel seu alt prestigi, formació professional i modernitat. La missió de la universitat l'exerceix un professorat professional i experimentat que aplica continguts docents moderns i actuals. L'objectiu final és preparar els estudiants i graduats per a les seves futures carreres i objectius, d'acord amb les seves habilitats i expectatives. La universitat està situada a la ciutat de Cracòvia, rica en història, cultura, arts i arquitectura única. Hi ha nombrosos museus, galeries d'art i teatres per visitar i una vida nocturna agradable.
Anna Pyzik is an ERASMUS student from the University of the National Education Commission, Krakow (until 2023 named Pedagogical University of Krakow (Poland), twho has been studying Animation during this spring semester at the Pau Gargallo School of Art. Last Wenesday 23 May 2024, she made a presentation about Krakow (Poland) and the Animation department of her university, addressed to students and teachers of our school.
The University of the National Education Commission, Krakow, is the largest and one of the oldest pedagogical universities in Poland and is well known for its high prestige, professional education and modernity. The mission of the university is exercised by professional and experienced teaching staff who apply modern and current teaching content. The ultimate goal is to prepare the students and graduates for their future careers and achievements, according to their skills and expectations.The university is situated in the city of Krakow, rich in history, culture, arts and unique architecture. There are numerous museums, art galleries and theatres to go to and an enjoyable nightlife.

Yusuf Eronat és un alumne ERASMUS de la Universitat d'Anadolu (Eskisehir, Turquia) que ha estat estudiant ceràmica i escultura a la nostra institució durant el segon semestre d’aquest curs. El passat 23 de Maig de 2024 va fer una presentació visual sobre la Facultat de Belles Arts de la Universitat d'Anadolu.
La Facultat de Belles Arts es va establir l'any 1983 quan la Facultat de Belles Arts Aplicades va començar a acceptar estudiants a temps complet el curs 1985-1986 als Departaments de Gràfica i Ceràmica. La institució va assumir un nou nom l'any 1992 com a Facultat de Belles Arts. Avui dia, la facultat ofereix formació en l'àmbit de l'art i el disseny amb els departaments de Ceràmica, Arts Gràfiques, Animació, Escultura, Pintura, Impressió i Vidre. La Facultat de Belles Arts dóna suport a un entorn de treball multidisciplinari alhora que ofereix una educació a partir de la qual els estudiants puguin definir-se i expressar-se amb oportunitats d'expressió lliures, originals i creatives, amb l'objectiu d'una educació artística que estigui qualificada a nivell nacional i internacional per estar en línia amb les demandes i requisits de la universitat, la ciutat i el país. Tots els departaments de la facultat, adopten el principi de graduats qualificats amb la integració d'art, disseny i pràctica i accepten estudiants amb preinscripció i examen especial de talent.
La Facultat té set departaments: Ceràmica, Vidre, Arts Gràfiques, Animació, Escultura, Pintura i Gravat.
Yusuf Eronat is an ERASMUS student from Anadolu University (Turkey) who has been studying Ceramics at our institution during the spring semester. He made a visual presentation of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Anadolu on 23 May 2024.
The Faculty of Fine Arts of Anadolu University was established in 1983 as College of Applied Fine Arts started accepting full time students in 1985-1986 academic year to the Departments of Graphics and Ceramics. The College assumed a new name in 1992 as Faculty of Fine Arts. Today, the faculty provides education in the field of art and design with departments of Ceramic, Graphic Arts, Cartoon and animation, Sculpture, Painting, Printing and Glass. The Faculty of Fine Arts supports a multidisciplinary working environment while providing education on the basis of which students can define and express themselves with free, original and creative expression opportunities, aiming at an art education that will be qualified nationally and internationally to be in line with the demands and requirements of the university, city and country. All departments of the faculty, adopts the principle of qualified graduates with the integration of art, design and practice and accepts students with pre-registration and special talent examination.
The Faculty of Fine Arts has seven departments: Ceramic, Glass, Graphic Arts, Cartton and Animation, sculpture, Painting and Printmaking.

Bathricya Virumann és una estudiant ERASMUS de la Pallas University of Applied Sciences de Tartu (Estònia) que ha estat estudiant escultura i ceràmica durant aquest segon semestre a l'Escola d'Art Pau Gargallo. El passat dijous 23 de Maig de 2024 va fer una presentació sobre Tartu i la Pallas University of Applied Sciences adreçada a estudiants i professors de la nostra escola.
La Pallas University of Applied Sciences va ser fundada l'any 2000 a partir de la Tartu Art College. Situada a Tartu (Estònia), la Pallas University of Applied Sciences és l'única institució d'educació superior d'arts aplicades a Estònia. Pallas ofereix estudis en tres àrees (disseny, conservació/restauració i arts), que s'organitzen en vuit plans d'estudis: fotografia, conservació i restauració, pintura, disseny de mitjans i publicitat, disseny de productes i d'interiors, disseny i tecnologia de productes de cuir, escultura i tèxtil.
El paper de Pallas al sistema d'educació superior d'Estònia és formar persones creatives dotades de fortes habilitats pràctiques i coneixements teòrics, que també estarien qualificades per entrar al mercat laboral o continuar els estudis de màster.
Bathricya Virumann is an ERASMUS student at the Pallas University of Applied Sciences in Tartu (Estonia) who has been studying sculpture and ceramics during this spring semester at the Pau Gargallo School of Art. Last Thursday 23 May 2024, she made a presentation about Tartu and the Pallas University of Applied Sciences addressed to students and teachers of our school.
Pallas University of Applied Sciences was founded in 2000 from Tartu Art College. Placed in Tartu (Estonia) Pallas University of Applied Sciences is the only higher education institution of applied arts in Estonia. Pallas provides studies in three focus areas (design, conservation/restoration and the arts), which are organised into eight curricula: photography, conservation and restoration, painting, media and advertisement design, interior product design, leather product design and technology, sculpture and textile.
The role of Pallas in Estonia’s higher education system is to train creative people equipped with strong practical skills and theoretical knowledge, who would also be qualified to enter the labour market or continue in Master’s studies.

Taller d’enquadernació
Els alumnes de 2n curs del CFGS de Còmic han participat en un taller d’enquadernació, impartit per l’artista i enquadernadora Svantje Busshoff.
En aquest taller, els i les alumnes han pogut aprendre dues tècniques d’enquadernació: una de bàsica, la llibreta d’un sol plec, i el cosit copte de varis plecs amb tapes de cartolina. Amb aquestes tècniques els alumnes han après dos tipus de relligats de plecs, a més dels avantatges i desavantatges si es comparen amb el relligat japonès. Ha estat molt interessant poder conèixer les eines tradicionals d’enquadernació, els materials i com manipular-los, de la mà d’aquesta gran artista de l’enquadernació.
Visita a l’Academy of Fine Arts and Design de la Universitat de Ljubljana
Del 2 al 6 d’Abril del 2024 el professor del Departament de Gràfica Impresa Bernat Solsona va visitar l’Academy of Fine Arts and Design de la Universitat de Ljubljana a Eslovènia en el marc del programa ERASMUS +. L’objectiu de la seva mobilitat era impartir un taller de disseny i realització d’un Paper Toy als alumnes del Grau d’il·lustració d’aquesta universitat. A continuació ens presenta un resum de la seva experiència:
«He realitzat la meva mobilitat ERASMUS a l'ALUO (Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana). Curiosament, he anat a la mateixa universitat on havia fet un intercanvi Erasmus quan era estudiant de grau de disseny. A l'escola m'ha rebut el professor Damijan Stepančič, docent del grau d'il·lustració de l'ALUO. He pogut visitar les instal·lacions de l'escola i assistir a algunes de les seves classes. El motiu de l'intercanvi era dur a terme un taller amb els alumnes del grau d'il·lustració. El taller va durar 8 hores, distribuïdes en dos dies, en el qual els alumnes van dissenyar un Paper Toy. Primer vaig presentar el projecte, ensenyant referents de joguines i aspectes tècnics, i després van realitzar esbossos i maquetes fins a acabar fent el producte final, un paper toy imprimible en format din A4.»
Visit to the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana
From 2nd to 6th April 2024 the teacher of the Department of Printed Graphics Bernat Solsona visited the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia as part of the ERASMUS + program. The aim of his mobility was to teach a workshop on the design and making of a Paper Toy to the students of the Illustration degree at this university. Below is a summary of his experience:
«I did my ERASMUS mobility at the ALUO (Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana). Interestingly, I went to the same university where I had done an Erasmus exchange when I was a design degree student. I was greeted at school by Professor Damijan Stepančič, ALUO illustration degree teacher. I was able to visit the school's facilities and attend some of its classes. The reason for the exchange was to carry out a workshop with the students of the illustration degree. The workshop lasted 8 hours, spread over two days, in which the students designed a Paper Toy. First I presented the project, teaching toy references and technical aspects, and then they made sketches and models until they finished making the final product, a printable paper toy in A4 format.»

Visita a l’Art Academy of Latvia
Del 13 al 15 de Maig del 2024 el professor i coordinador ERASMUS de l’Escola d’Art Pau Gargallo Manel Clemente va visitar l’Art Academy of Latvia a Riga, en el marc del programa ERASMUS +. L’objectiu de la seva mobilitat era fer una presentació de les institucions Escola d’Art Pau Gargallo i ESDAPC i impartir una conferència sobre el patrimoni monumental commemoratiu a Europa i ja de forma més explícita a Catalunya.
Al llarg de la seva estada el professor va ser rebut pel rector de l’Art Academy of Latvia Kristaps Zariņš i per la professora Māra Lorberga, que va actuar com anfitriona. Així mateix va poder contactar amb les coordinadores internacionals Agnese Bloka i Amanda Revalde, amb la cap de relacions internacionals Krista Petrauska, amb el cap del departament d’escultura Glebs Pantelejevs i amb l’artista i professor d’escultura Aigars Bikše.
El dimarts 14 de Maig Manel Clemente va impartir la conferència «In memory of: Memorial monumental heritage in Europe: removal, conservation and creation of new memorials.The case of Catalunya». La seva presentació, vinculada a un treball d’investigació de llarga durada, es va vehicular mitjançant una primera introducció a les polítiques de memòria de l’Europa contemporània a partir d’una selecció d’imatges de l’autor de monuments commemoratius de Kiev, Moscú, Tallin, Sofia, Tirana i altres ciutats europees. A continuació es va centrar en el context de l’estat espanyol i molt especialment de Catalunya a partir dels monuments commemoratius de la Guerra Civil projectats tant durant la dictadura franquista com durant la transició i la democràcia fins als nostres dies, atorgant una especial rellevància als dedicats a la figura de Lluís Companys.
Durant la seva mobilitat el professor va tenir també l’oportunitat de visitar i fotografiar diferents museus i memorials de la ciutat de Riga, acompanyat per la professora Māra Lorberga. Arran de la invasió russa a Ukraina, el govern letó ha aplicat una estricta normativa de retirada de la via pública dels monuments soviètics i ha fomentat la creació de nous monuments vinculats a les víctimes de l’ocupació soviètica.
From 13tn to 15th May 2024, the teacher and ERASMUS coordinator of the Escola d’Art Pau Gargallo Manel Clemente visited the Art Academy of Latvia in Riga, Latvia, as part of the ERASMUS + program. The aim of his mobility was to make a presentation of the Pau Gargallo Art School and ESDAPC institutions and give a lecture on the commemorative monumental heritage in Europe and more explicitly in Catalonia. During his stay the professor was received by the rector of the Art Academy of Latvia Kristaps Zariņš and by professor Māra Lorberga, who acted as hostess. He was also able to contact the international coordinators Agnese Bloka and Amanda Revalde, the head of international relations Krista Petrauska, the head of the sculpture department Glebs Pantelejevs and the artist and sculpture teacher Aigars Bikše.
On Tuesday 14 th May Manel Clemente give the lecture «In memory of: Memorial monumental heritage in Europe: removal, conservation and creation of new memorials.The case of Catalunya». His presentation, linked to a long-term research project, was conveyed through a first introduction to the politics of memory in contemporary Europe based on a selection of the author's images of memorials in Kyiv , Moscow, Tallinn, Sofia, Tirana and others European cities. Then, it focused on the context of the Spanish state and especially Catalonia, starting from the Civil War memorials projected both during the Franco dictatorship and during the transition and democracy up to the present day, giving particular relevance the ones dedicated to the figure of Lluís Companys.
During his mobility, the professor had the opportunity to visit and photograph different museums and memorials in the city of Riga, accompanied by professor Māra Lorberga. In the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Latvian government has implemented strict regulations to remove Soviet monuments from public streets and has encouraged the creation of new monuments linked to the victims of the Soviet occupation.

Visita a l’Escola Superior Artística do Porto
Del 13 al 17 de Maig del 2024 la professora d’Història de l’Art de l’Escola d’Art Pau Gargallo Cristina Ruiz va visitar l’Escola Superior Artística do Porto / ESAP, en el marc del programa ERASMUS +. L’objectiu de la seva mobilitat era fer una presentació de les institucions Escola d’Art Pau Gargallo i ESDAPC i impartir una conferència sobre l’arquitectura modernista a Catalunya. A continuació ens explica la seva experiència: «L'experiència a l'ESAP de Porto ha estat molt satisfactòria. Els companys portuguesos van ajudar-me en tot moment i van disposar un grup d'alumnes per la xerrada de Modernisme. El centre ocupa un antic garatge i amb la seva reforma -ja que em van ensenyar les instal·lacions- és obert i crea un clima de participació excel·lent. La conferència va durar 1h 1/2 i l'alumnat va fer moltes preguntes interessant-se tant pel tema com per la nostra escola. És un lloc molt recomanable per visitar on s'imparteixen moltes de les especialitats que també es fan a la Escola d’Art Pau Gargallo, així com Cinema i Teatre. El coneixement de la ciutat també ha estat fantàstic i destacaria la visita a la Fundació Serralves on, a més d'un museu d'art contemporani, es pot visitar una de les cases de Siza amb una de les millors exposicions de maquetes d'aquest arquitecte.»
From 13th to 17th May 2024, the Art History teacher at the Pau Gargallo Art School, Cristina Ruiz, visited the Escola Superior Artística do Porto / ESAP, as part of the ERASMUS + program. The aim of his mobility was to make a presentation of the Pau Gargallo School of Art and ESDAPC institutions and to give a conference on modernist architecture in Catalonia. She tells us about her experience below: «The experience at the ESAP in Porto has been very satisfactory. The Portuguese colleagues helped me at all times and arranged a group of students for the talk on Modernism. The center occupies an old garage and its renovation - as I was shown the facilities - is open and creates an excellent atmosphere of participation. The conference lasted 1 1/2 hours and the students asked many questions interested in both the subject and our school. It is a highly recommended place to visit where many of the specialties that are also offered at the Pau Gargallo School of Art, as well as Cinema and Theatre, are taught. The knowledge of the city has also been fantastic and I would highlight the visit to the Serralves Foundation where, in addition to a contemporary art museum, you can visit one of Siza's houses with one of the best exhibitions of models of this architect.»
